Does The Catering Co. have a facility?
No, we do not have a facility of our own. We are the exclusive caterers with Western Michigan University and Grand Valley State University at the Eberhard Center and Center for Health Sciences.


How do I reserve The Catering Co. for my caterer?
Simply contact us for a proposal and a contract for your event. We require a deposit of 25% of the total quoted services to reserve your event date.


What is the cancellation fee?
Deposits will be refunded if the event is cancelled. A $200.00 processing fee will be charged.


When is the final count due?
The final count is due seven (7) days prior to your event.


When is the final payment due?
The final payment for all events is due the day prior to your scheduled service. If there are any charges incurred the day of service, The Catering Co. will bill you for any charges incurred.


What is your price per plate?
Use our menu links to find the per plate charge for dinner service. Don’t forget to add 20% service staff charges and 6% tax.


Is the china, glassware, flatware and guest seating linen included?
All china, glassware, flatware and guest seating linen service is included with luncheon and dinner service.


I’d like linen to the floor for my guest seating tables, do you offer this?
Yes, contact us for pricing information regarding linens to the floor. We’ll be happy to match your color themes as well!


How many pieces are included with the listed hors d’oeuvres price?
All hors d’oeuvres are priced per piece.


How many Hors d’oeuvres should we have?
Great question! Please contact us for assistance with this question. We will be happy to provide you with guidance for your specific event!
 

I would like a custom menu, can you help me create a custom menu?
We love to design custom menu packages! Let us help you with the perfect food selections to make your event complete. We love themed events.


I am interested in a plated meal with a two dinner selections. How am I charged for this meal?
Charges for multiple entrée plated dinners are quite simple. You are charged for the quantity ordered. For example, if you order 50 beef entrees and 50 chicken entrees, you would pay for 50 entrees at the beef price and 50 entrees at the chicken price.


I have some vegetarians attending. Is there an entrée I can offer my vegetarian guests?
We have several vegetarian options available for your vegetarian or vegan guests.


We have some children who will be attending our event; do you offer any children’s menus?
Yes, we offer a children’s selection. Our children’s meals are for children up to the 12 years of age. These meals include chicken strips with barbecue sauce, mashed potatoes or macaroni and cheese along with fresh green beans. If you are choosing buffet service, discounted children’s prices are available.


We only have access to our facility two hours before our party starts, is that enough time for The Catering Co. to set up?
Yes, this is plenty of time to set up for your event! This is quite typical of public rented spaces and many local facilities.
